The Stratus Lightweight Dovetail and Baseplate System from Ikan is comprised of a 10″ ARRI Standard Safety Dovetail, a lightweight baseplate with 15mm rod clamps, and a pair of 12″ carbon fiber 15mm rods. The dovetail plate and baseplate both have multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 mounting points. The dovetail and baseplate system allows you to attach accessories to your camera such as battery plates, follow focus systems, monitors, lens supports, and matte boxes while giving you the ability to balance your camera properly on your tripod.

ARRI STANDARD DOVETAIL

The Stratus Lightweight Baseplate System features a 10-inch ARRI Standard Dovetail which works with any ARRI Standard Baseplate.

ARRI STANDARD BASEPLATE

The Stratus Lightweight Baseplate System features a 15mm base plate that can be mounted to the ARRI Standard dovetail. The base plate includes a 1/4-20 screw and 3/89-26 screw to mount to Cinema cameras, ENG cameras, and DSLRs. The baseplate slides along the dovetail to provide the perfect balance to your setup once it’s mounted to your tripod.

SAFETY STOPPERS

A base plate safety stopper is included on both ends of the dovetail. This will keep your base plate from accidentally sliding off of the dovetail. To mount the dovetail, you can simply push the safety stopper down as you mount the baseplate. The spring-loaded stopper will move back into its original position after the baseplate has been mounted.

TRIPOD PLATE MOUNTING POINTS

Any tripod plate with a 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 screw can mount directly to the bottom of the dovetail. The dovetail features 7 1/4-20 screw threads and 7 3/8-16 screw threads. This allows your tripod plate to be mounted in various areas of the dovetail such as the back, center, or front.

CARBON FIBER RODS

Two 10-inch lightweight carbon fiber 15mm rods are included. The rods will allow you to mount a wide variety of accessories such as battery plates, follow focus systems, monitors, matte boxes, lens supports, and counterweights.
